ATC Saturday: Nature

The dark background draws attention to the main images.

This week's theme was very broad:  nature.  I looked over my stamp collection and chose this snail from Just For Fun to begin.  I love the artist's bold strokes in this image.  Bright colors seemed right for this curious little guy.

I paired him with (ooh, that kind of sounds like I'm describing a dish--escargot, anyone?  Ack!) some foliage from Stamp Zia.  This is another example of an outline image with clear, bold lines and it too, qualifies as "nature".

Watercolors kept the snail image bright, and prismas over the rest of the ATC allowed me to add layers of saturated color.  I drew a quick shadow under the snail to anchor him in the space.
