August Calendar Page

This is a page that I borrowed from an earlier design. It's not legible at this resolution, but this version has the fish inscribed with the phrase, "NIH Rocks!" to honor the many people who cared for me (or my cells!) during my extended stay at the National Institutes of Health.

The cancer treatment that I received worked. You can read about that on my other blog, if you're curious.

I've spent a lot of time at NIH over the past year. It feels like my home away from home.

July Calendar Page

This is one of my all-time favorites. The squirrels are among my oldest images, and the boy reminds me of my own little boys. They have to settle for cardboard boxes in the living room, but the idea is the same!

Easy-breezy for a summer page.

Elegant Simplicity

While rummaging around in my craft room, searching for something else, I came across a few cards similar to the one shown here. I made this many years ago with my then-toddler daughter.

I carved roses and leaves from potatoes, and together we stamped them with acrylic paint. The circles were stamped using the eraser at the top of a pencil.

We went through a lot of potatoes that day!

In Sympathy

A card for a friend whose Father passed.

Coloring it in gave me ample time to reflect on my own Dad. He died five years ago yesterday.

Maybe the two will find each other in the afterlife!

May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the Mercy of God, Rest in Peace.

The main image is a collage stamp, which means this layout was created with only two stamps!

haha...they didn't know what they were getting themselves into when they agreed to babysit the flock.

This background was sponged with my trusty Nerf ball, which is older than ALL of my children.

Spring seems to have finally arrived in Michigan (at the end of May).

So happy for that!

Still Here!

How Many Cat Stamps?

Indeed.  We may never know.

This was created about 10 years ago.  Certainly it was stamped before I owned a scanner.

Very busy here with end-of-year piano, drama, dance and graduation stuff.

I've home schooled her since the third grade--she grew up in a blink!

Current Holly contemplates her many, many interests (too many to include).

Mother's Day!

A thank you card that I made for a Mom who hosted a bunch of us homeschoolers and our daughters for a "Tea" a while back.  It was great fun.

I sort of wish I had a smaller teacup image, but then again...it's stamping!

You use what you've got to make it work.
